Your first few minutes

Install Ankita, choose a provider, and give your first teammate something to do.

Bring Ankita home

Download the Windows x64 installer from the download button. Choose the portable executable if you prefer to run without installing. The installer includes the app runtime; Node.js is only needed for development.

Open Ankita and go to Settings → Providers. Choose a provider and an available model. New desktop installs start with Kilo’s keyless free models; provider availability and limits can change. Existing provider choices are preserved.

Start small

Create a teammate and give it a name and purpose. Try a clear request with a concrete outcome: “Read these launch notes and list the three next steps.” Attach the document, review the attachment, then send.

Follow the tool activity in the conversation. An approval request shows the action being proposed. Review it before allowing it. Stop cancels the current turn.

Make it your workspace

  • Create a project for work that has a folder and shared context.
  • Enable a browser in Plugins before asking Ankita to navigate websites.
  • Minimize the desktop to use the floating companion.
  • Use Ctrl+K (Cmd+K where supported) to find commands and skills.

Stay current

Installed Windows builds support in-app updates. Portable copies are updated by downloading a newer executable. The Releases page keeps every published version, its original notes and its download assets.

Based on Ankita’s maintained product guides. Settings and availability can vary by version.
